Taj Mahal is the purest Symbol of LOVE

Image
TAJ MAHAL It is as though he did not leave a single sliver of marble unturned. To give India the brand no one else has or could, before or after him. Yes , Shahjahan would go down as a miracle worker among brand architects. For the Taj was born eternal, Imagine it's first glimpse, it's inaugural releases without a launch conference, without sirens or anthems, without security and VIP enclosures or the fanfare  of surprise  revelations. A mourning emperor would not need or want that. Nor would the Taj. Every  human being born in this world should see the Taj at Agra, India, atleast once. It is not too much to ask. Ask any lover, any aesthete, or just plain anyone who has set eyes on this vision. It's not the gasp of marble in stunning symmetry, or the enticing inlay, or the magically unerring proportions; it's the sheer unreality of it.........marble marvel so magnificent, radiating myriad attractions on a moonlit night and permeating the fragrance of

Panchayat Raj in villages of india

Image
Panchayat Raj If we should see our dream of Panchayat Raj, true democracy realized, we would regard the humblest and lowest Indian as being the ruler of India with the tallest in the land. This presupposes that all are pure or will become Pure if they are not. And purity must go hand in hand with wisdom.  No one would then harbour any distinction between communities. Everybody would regard all as equal with oneself and hold them together in the silken net of love. No one would regard another as untouchable. We would hold as equal the toiling labourer and the rice capitalist. Everybody would know how to earn an honest living, by the sweat of one' s brow , and make no distinction between intellectual and physical labour. To hasten this consummation, we would voluntarily turn ourselves into scavenger Swadeshi as the rule of life and regard every woman, not being his wife, as his mother, sister or daughter according to her age, never just after her in

Malala the powerful

Malala, The Powerful October 9, 2012, was an ordinary afternoon in the Seat Valley, and area of rugged mountains and sweeping green valleys in the north Pakistan. Malala Yousafzai, 15, was sitting on a school  bus with her classmates waiting to go home when two bearded gunmen appeared. "Who is Malala?" One of the men demanded. A feeling of terror filled the bus and the unthinkable happened: The gunmen opened Fire. One bullet pierced Malala' s head near her left eye. Two of Malala' s friends were struck in their arms. Then the gunmen fled, leaving Malala to die. It might be difficult to understand why anyone would try to murder an innocent girl on her  way home from school, but some people in Pakistan do not view Malala for what she is : a bright and generous teenager. They see her as a deadly threat to their way of life, a person who deserves to be killed. These people mainly young men from rural Pakistan and neighbouring Afghanistan-are members of a gr

Meditation Helps Us In Controlling Our Mind

Image
MEDITATION I t is now universally tried and tested that meditation is the best way to get relief from tensions and acquire a holistic health. In the West people paid more attention to materialistic requirements but in the East they gave more importance to the spiritual and physical aspects of life. T he art of meditation was well-known to our ancestors. In the past, it was a common ritual to meditate and pray, maybe for 10-15 minutes after taking bath and before starting daily routine chores. the dictionary meaning of meditation is ''quietening your mind '' In recent times, meditation as a way to joy and peace has acquired great popularity in the the West, but it is fading from the East .The fast life, the race after money, and the effect of Western culture are the basic reasons behind it. But spiritual leaders like Mahesh Yogi, with his transcendental meditation, has attracted a large number of Americans. M ost of the religions advocate medita

Women empowerment

Image
Women Empowerment W omen are the focus of all development. For any sustainable change towards progress needs involvement of women. There is a great variation across the world in empowering women, even in developed industrial countries. High income is not a prerequisite to creating opportunities for women, Gender empowerment focuses on gender inequality in economic and political opportunity and participation in decision-making process and values. The inequality varies from community to community, race to race and region to region within a particular country. It can be seen in terms of the percentage of women in parliament, State Legislatures, senior officials and managers, and among professional and techinical worker. It was rightly said by Jawaharlal Nehru, ''You can tell the condition of a nation by looking at the status of its women.'' W omen empowerment means increasing the power of women. providing social, economic and poltical status to women through the

Why study

Image
WHY WE STUDY       Today we are talking about why we    The most common questions that students ask is "How to study?" Some also gather the courage to ask why study ?" If you have a why, the hows will come by.   THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTIONS THAT SO MANY OF US FAIL TO ASK IS  WHY WE SHOULD STUDY Right from our childhood we are told to study. But we are rarely told the reason why we must study. And that is why so often most of us fail to achieve our academic goals. A very dangerous idea is to study for scoring high marks. This will put you in the purely competitive lane, and you will judge your progress solely by your marks. Remember not to hype up your marks -they just will tell how you are doing, people fail to realize this simple fact that marks are nothing more than your performance index. To improve your marks you need to improve your performance. One of the most important objectives of study
